How do I close a card which is no longer required?

If you are a Corporate Administrator, you can close cards directly within your account.

Sign into your Centtrip account
Select 'MANAGE CARDS' from the left hand menu
Use the search or filters to locate the card you wish to close
Click on the card to open the 'Card details' panel
Select 'CLOSE CARD'

Important - this cannot be undone. If unsure, we recommend locking the card.

Why am I being asked to sign for card transactions?

Accepted Answer

As your Centtrip card is a US issued card, when using it in stores, restaurants, hotels e.t.c, it is likely that you will be asked to sign for the transaction, as opposed to entering your PIN.

At Point of Sale you should always enter your card into the merchant's POS machine as normal, and the merchant should then provide you with a slip to sign.

How do I view my card transactions?

You can monitor your expenditure in real time using the Centtrip app - simply select ‘CARD TRANSACTIONS’ at the bottom of the app dashboard. Tap into an expense to view more details, including time and location.

How do I find my nearest ATM?

Accepted Answer

To find your nearest chip-enabled ATM, we recommend using the Mastercard ATM Locator.

You can access this anytime via the Centtrip app - simply tap the app menu icon in the top right of the screen, select 'ATM Locator' and enter your location to search:

How can I check my card balance?

You can check your real-time card balance whenever you need via the Centtrip app. The app will also show how much you have left to spend before hitting your daily limit. There are two ways to check:

From the 'CARD TRANSACTIONS' screen:

Tap 'CARD TRANSACTIONS' from the app dashboard.
Select 'BALANCE AND LIMITS' at the bottom of the screen.
Review your Card Balance and Remaining Available Spend.
Select 'Card Limits' to see your daily and monthly limits for card spend, cash withdrawals and your maximum transaction amount.

From the 'Card Settings' screen:

Visit the ‘YOUR CARDS’ screen by tapping ‘All cards’ from the app dashboard.
Tap on your card to reveal card functions, and press ‘Card Settings’ to open.
Review your Card Balance and Remaining Available Spend.
Scroll down to see your daily and monthly limits for card spend, cash withdrawals and your maximum transaction amount.

What does it mean if a card ‘spends from a shared balance’?

Accepted Answer

All cards associated with your Centtrip account will be one of two types;

Cards that spend from the shared balance will draw funds directly from the operating account.
Pre-load cards do not spend from the shared balance and require funds to be transferred onto them from the account. Administrators can do this instantly using Quick Transfer.

In both cases, card spend is subject to the limits of the operating account, as well as any individual card limits applied by the administrator.

How do I lock and unlock my card?

Accepted Answer

Keep your card extra secure by temporarily locking it while not in use. Your card can be locked/unlocked instantly using the Centtrip app.

Open the app and visit the ‘YOUR CARDS’ screen by tapping ‘All cards’ from the app dashboard.
Tap on your card to reveal card functions, and press ‘Card Settings’ to open.
Switch the ‘LOCK/UNLOCK’ toggle as required.
Once locked, no payments or withdrawals will be allowed.
Unlock your card at any time to use immediately.

(If you're an Administrator, you can also set all card limits to zero until the card is required.)

Question 8

What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

Accepted Answer

Cardholders can report a lost or stolen card and instantly block it using the app:

Open the app and visit the ‘YOUR CARDS’ screen by tapping ‘All cards’ from the app dashboard.
Tap on your card to reveal card functions, and press ‘Card Settings’ to open.
Select ‘REPORT AS LOST OR STOLEN’ to permanently close your card and order a replacement.
Please notify your account Administrator so they can arrange a new card and transfer any preloaded card funds back into the main account.

Important! This action cannot be undone; we recommend locking your card if unsure.

If you're an administrator, set the card limits to zero to prevent any unauthorised activity and contact Centtrip.

Question 9

Is Centtrip’s corporate USD Mastercard a credit or debit card?

Accepted Answer

The Centtrip USD Mastercard is neither a credit, nor debit card. 

Centtrip cards are Corporate prepaid cards, reloadable and issued by a Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation member. Each time you use your Centtrip card, the purchase value is deducted from the funds available for the card or the associated Operating Account.

You can use your Centtrip Mastercard worldwide, online and in store.

How do I add funds to my pre-load Centtrip cards?

Accepted Answer

Any cards associated with your Centtrip account will be one of two types; cards which spend directly from the shared operating account balance, OR pre-load cards which require funds to be transferred onto them.

To transfer funds to your pre-load cards:

Sign in and visit your account DASHBOARD.
In the Quick Transfer section, use the dropdown boxes to select where funds should be sent FROM, and the card you would like to load them TO.
Enter the value you would like to transfer into the AMOUNT box, and check the balances look correct.
Click ‘Confirm’ to move your funds instantly to your selected card. These will be available to spend immediately, as long as the card has been activated by the cardholder.
